Here's my first Gerd.Live Pilot Episode: discussing the with/?post?-Corona future with Azeem Azhar
I am really excited to share this amazing pilot episode for a new series I started to work on 8 weeks ago, called Gerd.Live. Each episode will feature uniquely interesting people, in conversation with me (trying to be interesting, as well), interspersed with social media quotes, short video clips, motion-design graphics and illustrations and more fancy stuff like that. This one is with @Azeem

World-premiere of my new Virtual Keynote format: June 22, 5pm CET: 10 Key Future Foresights (aka hunches:)
I am working on a new online-TV-show and a virtual keynote series (and possibly even a new book … arghhh) presenting 10 key future observations & foresights on what I now call the Great Transformation (with/ post-corona). I want to try some of my new memes with a live audience, hence this free virtual keynote (yes… you’ll be the guinea-pigs, kinda). But: I will also showcase a brand-new way of presenting online, using some pretty cool new video tools and virtual background ideas - this will be a kind of World-Premiere with all my cool new gear:)

Sign up for this free gig, via Eventbrite
This will be different than any online gig you’ve seen (and yes, it’s free)

You can also just watch the whole thing live on Youtube! Get a reminder there.

I've done virtual keynotes and remote talks for a long time... but now it's the new normal:)
Have a look at my new virtual keynote page:)) However, I’m also kinda pining to get back on the road (albeit not expecting that to happen in any large way until 2021… and probably never again like it was done before)

Here is my virtual keynotes playlist on Youtube .. . I'd love your feedback!

» How the Future Works
THE FUTURE. Are you excited, or are you worried? The next 20 years will bring more change than the previous 300 years. Technology is rebooting the very idea of work, how we work, when we work, where we work, and WHY we work. Computers are no longer stupid; they’re watching, they’re listening, they’re speaking, they’re learning… Science fiction is becoming science fact, and the End of Routine work is only one of the outcomes. How much of YOUR work is routine? You know… the searching, invoicing, filing, organizing, checking, updating?

Doomscrolling: Why We Just Can’t Look Away - WSJ (paywall alert;(
Primal instincts often drive our desire to spend inordinate amounts of screen time poring over grim news, and social-media platforms are designed to keep us hooked.

‘Doomscrolling’ can break your brain and...
Endlessly binging on bad news in your social feeds is unhealthy. But it’s become a galvanizing force for protests against police brutality.
