Greetings everyone
I hope you are well and somehow coping with this new reality that Covid19 is bringing. The future never seemed as uncertain as it does now, as pretty much everything is being turned upside-down: geo-politics and the future of Europe, the future of work and jobs, the entire travel/airline/hospitality industry, the energy business, sustainability policies and climate change action - and of course, how I do my own job (from big stages to what we now call digital conferences ;)
Read my 12 bullets on what I think is next.
A famous Milton Friedman quote comes to mind:
“Only a crisis – actual or perceived – produces real change. When that crisis occurs, the actions that are taken depend on the ideas that are lying around. That, I believe, is our basic function: to develop alternatives to existing policies, to keep them alive and available until the politically impossible becomes the politically inevitable”
So, in the spirit of ‘ideas lying around, and finding alternatives’, below are some of the things that me and my team at The Futures Agency are working on. We have now come to think of this crisis as ‘The Great Transformation’ - including our own:)
Be well, stay safe, stay at home if you must, and keep in touch!
Best regards from Zürich.

Introducing Virtual Keynotes & Digital Conferencing
I am shifting most of my keynote speaking to online platforms like Zoom, Vimeo, Webex and Crowdcast - and I have discovered many new ways of giving talks that are totally different than what I do on a ‘real stage’ aka in ‘meat-space’. Meeting people face-to-face will never be replaced, but these new platforms offer some pretty cool alternatives if we just can’t make the trip!
